Communications Project Coordinator/Writer/Editor

The Professional II Communicator will provide communications support and coordination for the Science and Technology Group in NREL’s Communications & Public Affairs Office. This position requires the ability to lead and manage multiple communications projects with limited supervision, as well as strong writing and editing skills for both print and web. Knowledge about online communications best practices and strategy as well as familiarity with technical and scientific publishing are required, as is strong attention to detail, quality, and the ability to maintain good working relationships with clients and team members.

The IT Manager, under the general supervision of the Director of Innovation and Technology, provides professional and technical expertise in administering and managing the Information Technology department. Responsible for the implementation and management of the City’s centralized physical and virtual computer environment, data and voice networks. Manages all division staff responsible for network and systems administration, and serves as a technical resource to assist staff in advanced systems and network issues. Responsible for the success of multiple information technology initiatives, programs, and systems. Manages the IT department staff, IT projects, and City technology in support of all City departments. Provides training, direction, and oversight to staff and outside professionals and consultants who may be hired to assist with the technology needs of the City.

Specifically, this role will develop the recruitment plan for the district and partner with schools and departments to address staffing needs and develop applicant pipelines. The manager will attend job fairs, community network events and utilize social media platforms to advertise and recruit. This position will have ownership of the applicant tracking system and assist in ensuring compliance with laws and regulations

Requirements
We are looking for candidates who have:

• Minimum three years of experience in human resources or a similar field. Must have recruiting experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Professional Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR).

• Familiarity with recruitment, employment practices, employment law and human resources best practices.

• Familiarity with education systems a plus.

Systems Administrator

The Systems Administrator performs hardware server setup, installation and configuration of the operating system, new releases and upgrades. Provides and administers the means with which the District Attorney department users access resources through control of identities, computers, and information. Performs administration, technical support, and maintenance of multi-location networked computer systems including Linux and Windows network operating systems. Participates in system designing and planning, and makes equipment purchase recommendations.
