Position Overview
The Senior Manager of Partner Engagement is a central connector and community builder for SVP Denver. This role blends fundraising, business development, relationship management, philanthropic advising, and community engagement.

We are seeking a relationship-driven, entrepreneurial leader who can build deep partnerships, expand our network, and strengthen our community of purpose-driven partners. This person will drive revenue through partner recruitment while also shaping the partner experience so members feel meaningfully connected to local impact.
Core Responsibilities
Partner Recruitment & Revenue Generation
- Recruit 20-30 new Partners annually ($50-$80K+ new revenue in partner dues).
- Expand diversity and breadth of the partner network with intentional focus on BIPOC leaders, mid-career to late career professionals, foundation program officers, and impact investors.
- Manage a pipeline of prospects and actively steward new relationships.
- Develop compelling pitch materials for individuals, corporations, community groups, and foundations.
- Partner with marketing (initially the contractor) to raise SVP Denver’s public visibility
- Maintain active presence in both philanthropic and business communities.
Partner Engagement & Stewardship
- Manage partner onboarding and match interests with SVP’s offerings (pro bono, giving circles, events, philanthropy, impact investing).
- Grow the SVP Ambassadors committee: train and activate partners and board members to support outreach and onboarding.
- Execute an annual partner engagement plan to strengthen the partner experience to drive retention, deeper engagement, and leadership. Achieve 90%+ partner satisfaction annually.
- Develop templates and infrastructure for partner-led workshops and learning events.
- With Programs Lead, co-manage partner involvement in collective giving and pooled funds (microgrants and COIIN).
- Increase partner retention by 20% through proactive relationship building.
Donor/Partner Systems & Tracking
- Streamline Salesforce processes for partner engagement, renewals, and tracking.
- Track and analyze key development performance metrics
- Maintain accurate data on partners, prospects, corporate sponsors, and foundation relationships.
Qualifications
Required
- 4–8+ years of experience in development, partnerships, community engagement, volunteer management, philanthropy, or related business development roles
- Demonstrated success in relationship-driven fundraising or partnership building
- Ability to work a room, build trust quickly, and maintain long-term relationships
- Experience working with corporate, foundation, and/or professional audiences
- Strong communication and storytelling skills (presentations, pitches, decks)
- Comfort with ambiguity, fast iteration, and entrepreneurial environments
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and building a diverse network
Preferred
- Experience with Salesforce or CRM systems
- Experience in philanthropy, impact investing, or nonprofit/social enterprise ecosystems
- Strong Denver networks across nonprofit, corporate, philanthropic, or investor communities
Schedule and Work Environment
The Senior Manager of Partner Engagement will work a standard 40 hours/week schedule and report directly to Theresa Rinne-Meyers, CEO. There are no direct-reports for this position.
The individual for this role must be physically based in the greater Denver area. We do not offer relocation assistance but do offer a flexible work environment, which typically includes 2-3 days work from home and 2-3 days in-person at a shared office space on the Clayton Early Learning campus. The position will occasionally be asked to be present at evening events.
Salary Range
$72,000 – $82,000 per year depending on experience (exempt) plus benefits
