The purpose of Dress for Success Denver is to empower women to achieve economic mobility by providing a global network of support, workplace attire, and career and life skills for success.

In 2026, Dress for Success Denver will celebrate its 20th anniversary. Building on two decades of impact and a strong foundation in the Denver metro area, we are poised for significant growth.

Beginning in 2026, the organization will expand along the Front Range, with the goal of serving every major Colorado community by 2029. The individual selected for this position will play a pivotal role in supporting and shaping this next chapter of organizational growth.

Job Description:

DFS Denver is a network member of the Dress for Success Global Membership Network. 2026 marks 20 Years of serving women in Denver. We are ready to welcome a Senior Fundraising & Development Consultant to our team. This person will strengthen the organization’s communications, support the stewardship and retention of existing donors, and play a key role in expanding our donor recruitment efforts. We are looking for an energized individual with a strong desire to implement their skills in support of DFS Denver in all Development and Fundraising activities, including but not limited to the following:

 

Development and Fundraising Responsibilities:

  • Partner with CEO and Board of Directors to create an Advisory Council ‘Individual Giving Campaign’ to commemorate the 20th Anniversary.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of major gift prospects, managing the full donor relationship lifecycle from identification through solicitation and stewardship.
  • Conduct regular, personal, and meaningful interactions with priority donors and prospects through written communications, events, face-to-face meetings, and conversation.
  • Utilize all appropriate research tools to identify prospect interest and giving potential.
  • Oversee fundraising events, i.e., Your Hour Her Power, March 2026 and Fall Gala, September 2026, through sponsorship solicitation, material design and logistics management.
  • Manage gift acknowledgement process to ensure donors are thanked in a timely manner.
  • Pursue opportunities for media coverage, including writing and sending press releases and pitching stories.

Requirements/ Qualifications

● Commitment to the mission and values of DFSD.

● Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and presentation) are essential.

● Proven experience with all phases of the development cycle, from prospect identification to stewardship.

● Experience and confidence with in-person fundraising.

● Positive attitude and an ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

● Demonstrated ability to act with integrity and earn and convey trust.

● Experience with social media platforms.

● Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

● Experience with the design of marketing and communications materials is a plus.

Benefits

Position type: Part Time Contractor, 24 Hours/ week remote

Compensation: $30- 40 per hour, Commensurate with experience
