The Colorado Community College System (CCCS) is hiring an Online Success Liaison to join the Student Affairs team at System Office. In this role you’ll be responsible for collaborating with academic and student services departments within CCCS to ensure a coordinated approach to online student retention. You will work proactively with the college advising departments and will be responsible for serving as a connection point with other CCCS and Colorado Online colleges. 

Duties Include:

  • Act as first point-of-contact for current and prospective students. Interpret and respond to student inquiries via telephone, email, chat, and webform, regarding admissions, enrollment, registration, and general Colorado Online and partner college policies and procedures. Use Banner (student information system) and D2L (learning management system) to research and resolve problems. 
  • Maintain and evaluate processes of student referrals to liaisons, advisors, online instructors, and other college personnel to target students needing additional support for successful completion of online courses and programs by providing accurate contact information to the relevant support systems.
  • Guide students and prospective students to the right college for online courses and programs. 
  • Assist instructors with non-academic and administrative issues.

 

Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights

 

  • Bachelor’s degree. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will substitute for the degree.
  • Professional experience in a college or university setting working with students.

  • Knowledge/ability to operate standard office equipment and software.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.  
  • Able to develop and manage business processes, prepare reports, and analyze data.
  • Able to accurately apply and explain policies and procedures, keep accurate records and maintain confidentiality.
  • Skilled in prioritizing urgent issues in conjunction with ongoing tasks
  • Excellent time management skills as well as the ability to self-manage.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Skilled in interacting with students, staff, and the public in a pleasant, tactful, and courteous manner.
  • Ability to convey technical information to a diverse population of students, staff, and the public.
  • Familiar with online learning.

Work Location/Travel Expectations

  • This position is located at the CCCS offices at 9026 E Severn Pl, Denver, CO. 
  • Rare travel within Colorado may be required.
  • Alternative work arrangements, including flexible schedules and hybrid-remote work may be available. All work must be completed in the state of Colorado.
