Administrative – Denver, Colorado (Hybrid)

Disability Law Colorado (DLC) is a statewide, nonprofit organization dedicated to securing the rights of the more than one million Coloradans with disabilities. As Colorado’s Protection and Advocacy agency, we use our federal authority to root out discrimination, abuse, and neglect—from schools to prisons, nursing homes to voting booths. RESPONSIBILITIES

We seek a dynamic professional to help design and execute a successful and sustainable fundraising strategy. Among other responsibilities, the Development Specialist will:

  • recruit and retain individual supporters;
  • initiate online, text, and direct-mail appeals;
  • manage our customer relationship management (CRM) system;
  • research a potential membership program;
  • cultivate relationships with community partners.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least two years of experience in nonprofit fundraising or a comparable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize projects, collaborate with colleagues, and meet deadlines under pressure and other constraints
  • Experience with CRM systems and online fundraising platforms.
  • Capacity to work independently and under supervision in a hybrid or remote work
  • Passion for and dedication to the mission of Disability Law Colorado.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Applicants for this position must live in Colorado or be willing to relocate to Colorado before beginning employment. We allow employees to work from home or from our Denver office, with the understanding that they will meet in person as needed to conduct their job functions and collaborate with colleagues, clients, and partners. We provide equipment to employees to work successfully in a remote environment, including but not limited to laptops and phones.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The hiring range is $25-$30 per hour, depending on experience. This is a part-time (18 hours per week) position. (There is a possibility of converting this role into a full-time position at some point, depending on the applicant's interest and performance and the organization's needs and budget.) DLC offers paid holidays, parental leave, annual leave, sick leave, and bereavement leave.
