This role can be based at our site in Denver, CO. in alignment with our flexible work policy (3 days in office, 2 days flexible).
Vantage is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Internal Communications to lead and elevate our internal communications strategy across the organization. This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing communication initiatives that align with the company’s goals, enhance employee engagement, and foster a cohesive and informed workforce. The Director of Internal Communications will work closely with senior leadership, HR, and other departments to ensure clear, consistent, and compelling communication throughout the organization.
Essential Job Functions
Strategic Communication Planning:

Develop and implement a comprehensive internal communication strategy that aligns with the company’s vision, mission, and business objectives.

Collaborate with senior leadership to craft and deliver key messages that drive employee engagement, cultural alignment, and organizational change.
Leadership Communication:

Provide strategic communication support to the executive team, including message development, and presentation preparation.

Ensure that leadership communications are clear, consistent, and effectively delivered across all levels of the organization.
Employee Engagement:

Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to enhance the employee experience, foster a positive company culture, and support the organization’s values.

Develop initiatives to gather employee feedback and ensure two-way communication between leadership and staff.
Content Development and Management:

Oversee the creation and distribution of high-quality internal communications content, including newsletters, intranet updates, emails, videos, and other multimedia.

Ensure that all internal communications are timely, relevant, and tailored to the needs of different employee groups.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with HR, Marketing, IT, and other departments to ensure alignment and integration of internal communication efforts across the organization.

Support cross-functional teams in developing communication strategies for specific projects or initiatives.
Change Management Communication:

Lead communication efforts related to organizational change, ensuring that employees are informed, engaged, and supported through transitions.

Develop and implement communication plans for major company initiatives, such as mergers, acquisitions, rebranding, or restructuring.
Measurement and Reporting:

Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of internal communication efforts and continuously improve strategies based on feedback and data.

Provide regular reports to senior leadership on the impact of internal communication initiatives.
Crisis Communication:

Collaborate with the crisis management team to deliver timely, accurate communication that mitigates risk and maintains trust.
Additional Duties:

Job Requirements
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience:
-
Minimum of 10 years of experience in internal communication, corporate communication, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Proven experience in developing and implementing successful internal communication strategies in a complex or matrixed organization.
Skills:

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling messages for diverse audiences.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.

Proficiency in communication tools and platforms, including intranet systems, email marketing software, and Microsoft Office, with particular focus on MS PowerPoint.

Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and project management abilities.

Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Collaborative and inclusive approach to leadership and communication.

Strong business acumen and understanding of organizational dynamics.

Travel required is expected to be up to 5% but may increase over time as the business evolves.

Salary Range: $180,000 – $200,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)
