Description

The Facility Manager is responsible for the day-to-day, on-site management of Levitt Pavilion, ensuring the venue is fully set up, maintained, operated, and restored for all events and public use. This role oversees the seasonal Site Team, coordinates with vendors and contractors, and is essential in maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment. Will work with Director of Venue Operations on venue readiness, safety, accessibility, and partner activations.

The Facility Manager plays a hands-on role in preparing the physical site for events, executing and adapting site maps and overseeing post-event breakdown and cleanup.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee and actively support the physical setup, operation, and breakdown of the venue for each event, ensuring the site is clean, safe, accessible, and event-ready. Duties include but aren’t limited to:

    • setting up barricade, tables, trash toters, and tents per the site map

    • cleaning and stocking restrooms for public events

    • occasional raking, leaf blowing and pressure washing

    • trash sweeps (before, during and following all events)

    • storing extra equipment and supplies

    • setting trash and recycling toters based on event needs

    • share of closing duties, to be coordinated with production and bar teams based on schedules

    • supervise hourly seasonal Site Crew 

  • Attend weekly team ops meeting, site map meeting

  • Maintain working knowledge of site equipment and supplies, tracking and replenishing inventory as needed

  • Coordinate on pre-event maintenance checklist with DPR Ruby HIll Park staff

  • Monitor backstage cleanliness, and working across production, bar and guest services staff to ensure that all areas of the venue are clean and safe at all times

  • Develop checklists to support consistent setup, maintenance, and cleanup throughout the season

  • Collaborate with operations and guest services staff to create and execute site maps, adjusting layouts as needed for specific events

  • In partnership with guest services manager, coordinate and oversee on-site sponsor and partner activations ensuring they’re aligned with approved site plans and venue guidelines

Additional Duties:

Each member of the Levitt Pavilion Denver team is required to uphold the Levitt mission and code of conduct, represent the organization positively at all times and contribute to a company culture of respect, transparency, and collaboration. Regular attendance at all-staff and applicable meetings, clear and consistent communication, and appropriate use of Levitt tools and systems including Google calendars, shared files, Prism and Connecteam is expected. 

As a seasonal department lead, the Facility Manager contributes to regular staff and production meetings; provides mentorship and training to part-time and seasonal employees; identifies personnel, facility, and systems needs; and engages in ongoing EDI efforts.

As a growing non-profit organization and live concert venue, Levitt Pavilion expects flexibility and accountability from all team members. Nights and weekends will be required during the concert season and additional duties may be assigned based on operational needs.

Competencies:

  • Venue Management — working knowledge and documentation of site logistics, crowd management, staffing needs and safety protocols

  • Basic maintenance skills – ability to address basic plumbing, electrical and hardware issues not already addressed by Denver Parks and Recreation staff. 

  • Team Leadership — ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a diverse seasonal team to achieve shared goals and maintain a positive work environment

  • Inclusion — strong commitment to and understanding of accessibility and strategies to create an inclusive environment for individuals of all abilities and backgrounds

  • Emergency Preparedness — familiarity with creating and implementing emergency plans and procedures; commitment to ongoing learning and development of SOPs to enhance safety and security

  • Systems — Familiarity with Google Suite, spreadsheets and other planning and management tools preferred

 

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Primarily outdoor, live event work environment with evenings, weekends, and holidays required
  • Frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout the venue
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 40–50 lbs
  • Exposure to variable weather conditions, heat, rain, high wind, etc.
  • Fast-paced environment requiring quick response to on-site needs

  • Onboarding, introduction to organizational mission and model 
  • Training specific to Facility Manager role, vendors and operations
