Key Responsibilities
- Build and Lead: Establish and manage a state-of-the-art Maker/STEM Lab, ensuring it supports creativity, innovation, and safety.
- Teach and Inspire: Deliver hands-on lessons in coding, robotics, engineering, and design that ignite curiosity and a love of learning. We envision this as about 50% of the role.
- Collaborate: Work closely with teachers across disciplines to integrate STEM into broader curriculum initiatives.
- Engage Students: Encourage problem-solving and collaboration, equipping students with skills for the future.
- Community Connection: Develop partnerships with local and global STEM leaders, creating opportunities for mentorship and real-world applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM-related fields, education, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience in maker education, project-based learning, or STEM instruction.
- Proficiency with tools and technologies such as robotics kits, 3D printers, coding platforms, and woodworking equipment.
- Passion for innovation, creativity, and fostering a love for STEM in young learners.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
