Job Description:
The Communications Manager is responsible for planning and implementing strategic communications that support Intermountain Health's mission, vision, and values. The Communications Manager oversees internal and external communications, including crisis communications, and supports media relations, social media, and branding initiatives. They lead the local development and implementation of community relationships, ensuring consistency and quality across all channels.
This position is a Hybrid one were 2-3 days per week can be remote.
There will be on-call for 1 week every 3 months
The internal communications manager will be headquartered at our Broomfield office and will be expected to be in-person at the headquarters or Front Range hospitals 2-3 days per week, plus additional on-site interviews/meetings as needed.
Essential Functions

Plan, develop, implement, and manage communications plans tailored to target audiences and market research, continually assessing consumer and business needs to ensure alignment with Intermountain Health's strategic goals and priorities.

Manage crisis communications needs at hospitals and clinics.

Provide communications support and guidance to senior leadership, departments, and teams across the organization.

Build and maintain relationships with key influencers and stakeholders throughout the enterprise.

Write, edit, and approve newsletters, articles, speeches, presentations, and other communications materials.

Monitor and measure the effectiveness and impact of communications activities, ensuring compliance with Intermountain Health's brand guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Assist in building and managing communications budgets and resources.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in communications, media relations, journalism, public relations, or related fields, with expertise in writing, editing, and creating impactful marketing and/or communications plans.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, English, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience in healthcare or a related industry.
