Job Title: Member Engagement Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY:The Membership Engagement Coordinator plays a critical role in sustaining and growing the membership base of the Colorado Restaurant Association. This role focuses on member engagement, satisfaction, and renewal by refining and executing strategic retention initiatives. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, exceptional communication skills, and a data-informed mindset to identify trends and opportunities for member value.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Refine and implement year-round member retention strategies with a focus on value communication and service delivery. These include targeted communication campaigns (some of which can be automated through our database), personalized outreach via email and phone, member feedback surveys, new member engagement, and renewal processes.
  • Call existing members to gather feedback and promote member benefits.
  • Work with membership team to manage new members’ onboarding process and ensure a seamless transition into the organization.
  • Maintain accurate membership records in CRM/database.
  • Collaborate with other Association staff, as needed, to engage members in Association and/or Foundation programs and to integrate member retention efforts into broader association initiatives. 
  • Track key membership metrics like renewal rates and engagement levels to assess the effectiveness of retention strategies. 
  • Provide end-of-month retention reports, including any dues level increases, to EVP Strategic Partnerships & CEO.
  • Give verbal monthly reports at All Staff Meetings with pertinent member feedback and themes.
  • Track benefit requests and feedback to help shape organization strategy.
  • Contribute to discussions on new benefits or retention strategies based on data gathered from member interactions.
  • Attend CSRA monthly membership calls (Zoom) to see what other SRAs are doing around member engagement and retention.
  • Follow-up with monthly dues members when credit card expires or declines.
  • Work with database and credit card processing company to make processing dues increases seamless.
  • Analyze exit surveys or member feedback to inform continuous improvement efforts.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Attend staff meetings and other inter-office meetings as scheduled.
  • Attend and help with Association and Foundation events as scheduled.
  • Represent the CRA in a professional manner within the community.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Direct sales, customer service and/or member retention experience a plus.
  • Excellent phone manners are required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a member-first attitude.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Knowledge of the restaurant or hospitality industry is strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual is a plus, particularly Spanish, Chinese or Vietnamese.
  • Great listener with a desire to help problem-solve.
  • Independent worker with limited supervision needed.
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, MemberClicks, Novi AMS) and email marketing tools.
  • Proficiency in the use and application of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).

Must be willing to undergo basic background screening.

Benefits & Compensation:
SALARY:   $55,000 – $65,000 with opportunity for annual bonus.
BENEFITS: Health, dental, 401k, profit sharing, disability, life insurance as consistent with CRA’s benefits for all staff, $50/mo cell phone reimbursement, free parking, hybrid office/remote working schedule (50/50 split)
