ABOUT BRENT’S PLACE
At Brent’s Place—the cornerstone program of the Brent Eley Foundation (BEF)—our mission is to provide more than housing; we create a home away from home for families facing cancer or other life-threatening illnesses. While their loved ones undergo treatment at local hospitals, we surround families with compassion, stability, and hope. Guided by our core values of compassion, integrity, respect, responsibility, and quality of life, we go beyond Safe-Clean accommodations to offer uniquely tailored programs and holistic support that nurture the entire family through their healing journey. Who We Serve
We serve families with a loved one (children and adults) receiving bone marrow transplants, long-term oncology treatments, experimental treatments, and a wide range of other long-term medical crises. We work with physicians and hospital social workers to determine who needs our services.

Physical Well-Being – Brent’s Place is, above all, a Safe-Clean haven for families who are far from home seeking advanced medical treatments. We are one of the only long-term housing options capable of supporting an entire family during the long treatment process. Because we believe that together is always better, Brent’s Place helps families stay together so that they may simply be together.

Financial Security – Families staying at Brent's Place receive unlimited support, but never a bill. This allows them to focus on recovery and their family’s well-being rather than the steep cost of relocation, housing, and food. Reducing expenses during treatment has long-term benefits and enables families to return home with a greater sense of financial security.

Psychological Well-Being – Patients and families fighting serious illness face significant emotional trauma. The programs at Brent’s Place are designed to help each resident cope with the stress and anxiety associated with their medical journey. This support allows residents to focus on self-care and healing and may even help serve as protection against future mental health crises.

Family Life – A medical crisis has the power to break families apart, but Brent’s Place is here to protect them. POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The heart of Brent’s Place is to provide a place of hope and healing for our families. This role plays an integral part in securing resources to drive mission delivery in three identified focus areas;

Gift Processing and Database Management (60%): Process all donations in a timely and accurate manner, optimizing database functionality and record-keeping to deliver optimized donor relations.

Prospect Research, Donor Intelligence, and Reporting (20%): Conduct prospect research to inform donor cultivation. Support a moves management approach to relationship management with reporting and data analysis that informs impact opportunities.

Donor Relations and Stewardship (20%): Execute sensational, personalized stewardship through direct outreach, coordinated volunteer stewardship initiatives, and support of donor recognition programs.
The Senior Development Systems Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the donor database, processing gifts, managing donor relations and stewardship activities, and conducting ongoing prospect research to support both annual fundraising and the capital campaign. Reporting to the VP of Development, this role ensures accurate data, meaningful stewardship, and actionable research that strengthens donor engagement across all Brent’s Place fundraising initiatives.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Gift Processing & Database Management

Process, record, and acknowledge all donations in DonorPerfect; ensure receipting and acknowledgements are timely and impact-focused.

Maintain data integrity, coding consistency, and complete donor records.

Prepare donor reports, mailing lists, and segmentation for appeals and communications. Conduct monthly reconciliation with the Finance and Accounting department.
Prospect Research & Donor Intelligence

Conduct proactive and reactive prospect research using internal and external tools, while always maintaining donor privacy and the highest quality of ethics.

Prepare prospect profiles, qualification notes, capacity ratings, and research briefs for leadership and solicitors.

Maintain and track the prospect pipeline for both annual and campaign donors.

Provide data analysis, including activity reports and queries, to inform donor strategies, segmentation, and upgrading opportunities.
Donor Relations & Stewardship

Execute stewardship touchpoints for managed relationships in partnership with the assigned staff and/or volunteer relationship manager. Activities include making and coordinating thank-you calls, sending tribute notifications, providing impact updates, and delivering personalized donor communications.

Manage stewardship and recognition for audiences, including The Village (monthly donors), Colorado Gives Day donors, new donors, the Paul & Doris Eley Society ($1,000+ donors), and the Legacy Society (planned giving donors).

Support development of donor recognition programs and naming opportunities (in collaboration with the Senior Capital Campaign Coordinator).

Maintain DonorPerfect records for all meaningful donor interactions and engagement via individual and bulk contact reports.
Collaboration & Reporting

Partner with the Senior Capital Campaign Coordinator to ensure continuity between database records and campaign activity.

Provide dashboards, reports, and data summaries to support annual fund and campaign decision-making.
WHAT WE VALUE FOR THIS ROLE:

3-5 years of development operations, donor relations, or prospect research experience.

Strong CRM experience (DonorPerfect preferred).

Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.

Our work is meaningful, dynamic, and deeply rewarding, and we do it together as a compassionate, collaborative team. After initial onboarding, the Senior Development Systems Coordinator will work at our Brent’s Place office three days per week and at a local remote location two days per week.
This role requires flexibility, including some evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays, with shifts that occasionally fluctuate. Rooted in our Quality of Life value, we provide flexible scheduling so you can bring your best self to work while making an extraordinary impact.
COMPENSATION:
