The Attainment Network is seeking a strategic, creative, and highly collaborative Senior Manager, Strategic Communications to lead the development and execution of the organization's communications strategy. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will help shape and elevate The Attainment Network's voice, brand, and thought leadership while strengthening awareness, partnerships, and impact across Colorado's education-to-workforce ecosystem.

The Senior Manager will serve as a trusted communications advisor to organizational leadership, developing messaging and narratives that clearly articulate The Attainment Network's role as a nonprofit intermediary helping communities create stronger career-connected pathways. This individual will translate complex initiatives, data, and systems-change work into compelling content and stories that resonate with funders, policymakers, partners, educators, employers, learners, and earners. Responsibilities include developing and managing communications across digital, print, multimedia, and presentation formats; overseeing website, email, social media, and media relations efforts; supporting executive communications and thought leadership; creating partner and impact stories; and identifying opportunities to elevate the organization's visibility and influence.

As a member of a small, high-performing team, the Senior Manager will balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution. The role requires strong project management skills to oversee multiple priorities, manage communications budgets, coordinate external consultants and creative vendors, and implement systems that strengthen communication effectiveness and organizational alignment. The position also partners closely with staff across the organization to support stakeholder engagement, fundraising, partnership development, and organizational growth.

Qualified candidates will have at least seven years of progressively responsible experience in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or a related field, along with a demonstrated track record of developing communications strategies, producing high-quality content, and advising senior leaders on messaging, positioning, and thought leadership. Exceptional writing, storytelling, relationship-building, and project management skills are essential. Experience in nonprofit, consulting, education, workforce development, philanthropy, or government settings is preferred. A bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, English, or a related field is preferred, although equivalent professional experience will be considered.

This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary range of $80,000-$95,000 annually. The role is primarily remote, offering flexibility while maintaining strong collaboration through periodic in-person meetings and occasional travel for conferences, convenings, partner engagement, and team activities.
