Position Title: Student Pathways Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Operations, Construction Education Foundation (CEF)
Salary: $55,000–$65,000 annually, depending on experience
Term: Full-time, permanent
Location: Office based; Central Denver Location; In-person school visits required
Construction Education Foundation of Colorado (CEF)
The Construction Education Foundation of Colorado (CEF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established by the Associated General Contractors of Colorado (AGC Colorado).
CEF serves as a key workforce development partner in Colorado’s construction industry, operating two primary programs: the Careers in Construction (CIC) chapter and the OSHA Training Institute Education Center. Our mission is rooted in building a stronger workforce through education, coaching, and connection.
We are a small, mission-driven team committed to excellence, growth, authenticity, and integrity. The Student Pathways Coordinator will join a highly collaborative environment focused on increasing access to skilled trade careers for Colorado students.
Position Summary
The Student Pathways Coordinator plays a central role in supporting students as they explore and pursue careers in construction. This role blends individualized student coaching with employer and school engagement. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping young people succeed, able to build strong relationships, and excited to work in a dynamic, impact-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Career Coaching & Student Support
- Guide high school students in defining and pursuing construction career goals
- Develop individualized career plans and provide one-on-one coaching
- Assist students with job search skills including resume creation, interview prep, and self-advocacy
- Track student progress and follow up post-interview to offer additional support
Data & Documentation
- Create surveys and collect data from students and teachers to measure success of the program
- Organize and ensure data accuracy of student records using a CRM
- Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve data discrepancies
- Regularly review student data to understand the goals, interests, barriers, and support needs of students in each assigned class and use this insight to tailor coaching, classroom activities, and employer connections
Industry Engagement
- Cultivate relationships with industry partners to match students with job opportunities
- Maintain a current job bank and connect students with internships, job shadows, and direct-hire opportunities
- Coordinate at least one industry-led classroom experiences per month at each assigned school
- Actively engage industry partners in workshops, presentations, and worksite visits
School & Educator Partnership
- Collaborate with teachers and administrators to align career activities with class curriculum
- Conduct regular visits to assigned schools and classrooms
- Complete After Visit Summaries within 24 hours of each visit
- Tailor support to meet the unique needs of each school and student population
Marketing & Social Media Support
- Capture photos and short videos during classroom visits, worksite experiences, and events to document student engagement and hands-on learning
- Collect brief testimonials and success stories from students, parents/guardians, educators, administrators, and industry partners to highlight program impact
- Submit photos, videos, quotes, and contextual notes in a timely and organized manner to support CEF marketing, social media, grant reporting, and communications efforts
- Coordinate with CEF staff to identify key moments, milestones, and outcomes that align with program goals and can be shared publicly
CEF Team Support
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture
- Support CEF-wide events, communications, and cross-program efforts as needed
- Participate in team meetings and strategy sessions
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in education, youth development, workforce development, or related field
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage schedules and work independently across multiple sites
- Comfort facilitating small group presentations and large classroom sessions
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Able to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in or with the construction trades
- Spanish language skills
- Familiarity with high school or CTE environments

Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Requires regular in-person Metro Area school visits and occasional travel to partner sites and events
- School activities and/or events outside of normal business hours
- Standard office/computer work plus occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs for classroom materials or event setup
