Description

Hire Connections is partnering with a respected, membership-based organization to find a Vice President of Events who turns big ideas into standout experiences.  In this executive role, you’ll lead 12–15 high-impact events annually, oversee a talented events team, and manage a strong revenue portfolio. You’ll collaborate closely with executive and volunteer leadership to deliver experiences that engage members and elevate the organization’s presence.  In-office position is based in the Denver Tech Center, with a Metro Denver scope.

What You’ll Do:

  • Set and lead the overall events strategy, ensuring every program aligns with organizational goals and member value.
  • Deliver a dynamic mix of events, including conferences, trade shows, awards dinners, and interactive social experiences.
  • Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing events team.
  • Own event budgets, forecasts, registrations, sponsorships, and revenue goals.
  • Produce polished, large-scale events that strengthen engagement and visibility.
  • Partner with volunteer committees as a trusted advisor and staff liaison.
  • Collaborate with the marketing & communications team to produce high-quality and impactful messaging that inspires action and strong event attendance.
  • Negotiate and manage Venue, A/V, Food & Bev, Speaker agreements / contracts that align with budget and event goals.
  • Build strong relationships with sponsors, partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership ensuring the events portfolio supports long-term growth.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 7–10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in events, association, or membership-based environments.
  • Proven people leadership experience.
  • Strong financial and contract management skills.
  • A strategic mindset paired with creativity, confidence, follow-through, and strong multi-tasking

Compensation:

  • Base Annual Salary: $108,000 – $125,000.
