We are seeking a Website Content Specialist to promote our mission through the implementation and development of website content. This position will have a pivotal role in writing the AWWA brand story for our website and empowering the story’s hero, our constituents, to access resources, utilize benefits, and attend events.
This is not a 100% remote job. AWWA runs on a hybrid reporting schedule with at least 3 days in the Denver office and 2 days of remote reporting.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for ensuring all content follows AWWA tone of voice, adheres to AWWA grammatical style guide, and is current.
- Develop a website Editorial Calendar to promote AWWA initiatives and supplemented the calendar with a schedule of all updates needed across the website.
- Work with stakeholders to proactively strategize content needs, assist in drafting copy, and manage daily website ticket requests.
- Develop a SEO written content plan utilizing MOZ to increase organic and AI traffic which includes adhering to technical best practices and keyword research.
- Suggest strategies for Google Ads campaigns and key words.
- Constantly review site traffic through Google Analytics and conversions metrics and provide suggestions for user flow improvements.
- Develop a photo library and support initiatives to procure image content.
- Size and upload photos to the website.
Requirements
Qualifications
Education, Certifications or Formal Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English or related field, or 2+ years of experience as a website editor or similar position.
Work Experience:
- Experience providing excellent customer service.
- Experience using a CMS.
- Experience writing for digital experiences.
Compensation/Benefits
Pay is dependent upon qualifications; Pay range is targeted between $32.95 – $37.67 per hour and is paired with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
