Job Summary

Serve as a member of a team of deeply committed professionals responsible for recruiting and enrolling diverse and academically talented students aligned with the priorities and values of Colorado College. Lead Office of Admission activities and strategy in the recruitment, evaluation, and enrollment of transfer students and recruited athletes. Collaborate with campus partners to support students in the application process through to enrollment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an initial point of contact for students seeking enrollment at CC. Build strong relationships with high school students and their families, high school counseling staff, and community organizations. Lead information sessions for prospective students and their families. Manage a recruitment territory and travel 2-4 weeks during key recruitment periods; up to 6-8 weeks annually.
  • Lead Office of Admission athletic outreach and recruitment efforts; manage preliminary review process and monitor progress through the admission process.
  • Lead the transfer recruitment team, including recruitment and application review to achieve enrollment and net tuition revenue objectives. Identify, coordinate, and cultivate partner relationships, including Verto Education and Pikes Peak State College to increase transfer candidate volume.
  • Review applications, analyze academic performance, assess writing skills, record relevant information, and apply rubrics for ratings. Provide context and analysis on the applicant pool and market. Participate in sub-committee and full-committee reviews and voting.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of four years of directly related experience; demonstrated strong ability to independently manage projects and programs and achieve successful outcomes; demonstrated record of success with student recruitment and relationship building; experience and understanding of the use of technology in relation to recruitment and outreach efforts, including familiarity with the role of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software; strong data background and experience in utilizing data in goal setting, proven ability to develop strong working relationships with people from different backgrounds; willingness to travel up to eight weeks throughout the year and work evenings and weekends when required; and must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is insurable by Colorado College’s motor vehicle insurance carrier.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in a related field with four or more years of related experience in admission or higher education; previous experience with athletics recruitment and/or transfer admission; familiarity within a selective four-year, private liberal arts college admission environment; experience with holistic file review and selective college admission; supervisory experience; previous experience with Technolutions Slate. Proficient in Spanish or another language.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

  • $56,485 to $62,135
