The Marketing Manager develops and executes marketing and communication strategies to increase member engagement and grow the organization. This position oversees public relations, email, social media, and copywriting. They ensure the team is effectively promoting the organization and communicating with its members. Collaborates with other departments as a communications and marketing subject matter expert, attends meetings, and communicates regarding team projects, initiatives, and communication plans. They keep their team motivated and encourage creativity and innovation.

Description

The Marketing Manager will perform the following activities:

  • Oversee, mentor, and lead a team of copywriters, public relations, social media, and email experts.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee marketing programs that effectively describe and promote the organization and its educational offerings.
  • Provide direction for content of digital and printed materials including emails, manuals, marketing collateral, brochures, and fliers.
  • Marketing budget development and cost tracking (variance reporting).
  • Develop messaging for different customer personas.
  • Present marketing and communication plans to executive team as needed.
  • Manage communication and change management plans for the organization and collaborate with various departments as needed.
  • Execute marketing plans for organization’s annual convention, product offerings, and partnerships.
  • Ensure that all communications are accurate and follow the brand’s voice and tone.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and an eye for design are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Superior project management and time management skills.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude for effective decision making.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of marketing collateral content creation.
  • Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management as well as a high degree of emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to see the strategic big picture while still being detail-oriented to ensure accuracy in all content.
  • Skilled leader with the ability to motivate within their team and other departments to meet deadlines and produce high-quality work.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Project management and time management skills
  • Leadership skills are necessary for directing staff and overseeing projects
  • Event marketing and content marketing expertise
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • 2-3 years of experience managing a marketing department
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or communications

You must be able to connect to a reliable internet service to perform all job duties when working from home. Work authorization is required, and sponsorship is not available.  Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. 

Compensation for this position is $90,000.00 – $95,000.00 annually and is exempt.

This is a hybrid role, with some days remote and some days on-site (Tuesday and Wednesday are required in-office days each week) in our office at 9127 S. Jamaica St. Englewood, CO 80112. When working in the office, we follow CDC guidelines.
