What does this role look like?
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Brand Communications, this position will oversee the strategic planning and execution of trade shows, marketing activations and external sponsorships for Lockheed Martin Space. This individual will lead a team of professionals who manage a dynamic portfolio of highly-visible, highly-complex events and sponsorships across the globe.
In partnership with Strategy & Business Development, Lockheed Martin Government Affairs and other Communications functions, the Brand Communications Manager will be responsible for developing critical relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensuring trade shows, marketing activations and sponsorships are executed on time, on budget and strategically aligned to business objectives.
A proven leader who has experience managing and working on a high-performing team, the ideal candidate will stay aligned to business priorities and industry developments and bring a data-driven and innovative approach to the team, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of efforts. In addition, the manager will have a solid understanding of trade show and event management, budget management and industry-leading trends, and be responsible for measuring and evaluating effectiveness, providing recommendations for improvement, and implementing changes as needed.
This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility one of the Coolest places to work: Denver, Colorado (opens in new window), and be expected to work in the office.
Basic Qualifications:
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• 8+ years of experience.
• Familiarity with the trade show industry.
• Proven project manager with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Motivated self-starter who performs without appreciable direction and works effectively under competing priorities and tight deadlines.
Desired Skills:
To be effective, ideally, you should also have:
• Masters degree equivalent experience/combined experience/education.
• 10+ experience.
• Proven team leadership experience.
• Strategic mindset with experience delivering business results.
• Exceptional writing, editing and oral communications skills with the ability to convey highly complex information in clear, compelling ways.
• Track record of collaborating with a number of diverse stakeholders .
• Dependable self-starter who drives accuracy and quality of work within the team.
• Quick study with an attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to multitask, adapt and work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and work well under pressure with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience with inventory management processes and systems.
• Knowledge of Lockheed Martin's business or experience in the aerospace industry.

Ability to Work Remotely:Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:9×80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $106,100 – $187,105. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
