Description
Ibotta is seeking a Senior Vice President, Strategic Partnerships to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding.
This role focuses on building and managing key relationships with large national retailers (e.g., Walmart, Dollar General, Family Dollar), leading delivery marketplaces (e.g., Instacart, Doordash), and other publishers that make Ibotta digital offers available on their properties. The SVP will lead a high-performing team, optimize processes with existing partnerships, and develop innovative solutions to achieve ambitious growth targets.
This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.
What you will be doing:

Build and lead a team of Strategic Partner Managers, inclusive of hiring, training, coaching, and development

Guide the team to build relationships with and manage our most important strategic partners that host Ibotta’s offer content on a white-label basis. These partnerships account for hundreds of millions of dollars in annual revenue, and represent the future of Ibotta and the Ibotta Performance Network

Ensure that the team is successfully performing in their role including, but not limited to: launching new partners, driving efforts to increase offer redemptions on partner properties, measuring performance, monitoring potential issues, and working with our cross-functional teams to implement solutions

Impact growth of gross profit target by growing the programs of key partners, including through increased prominence of the digital offer programs we power on partner properties, increased marketing of those programs, increased amount and quality of offer content available from our CPG sales team, etc.

Set and achieve ambitious goals by focusing on process improvements that will help the team work more efficiently

Prioritize partner retention by identifying and implementing strategies to decrease the risk of churn

Renew and expand partner agreements by partnering with Ibotta’s executive team, legal, and finance teams to optimize the profitability and scalability of partner agreements

Assist the team in maintaining and improving alignment across cross-functional teams (product, engineering, architecture, marketing, accounting, sales, finance, operations, etc) for a unified strategy that supports network performance

Work in conjunction with our analytics and BI team to develop better tools for client reporting, and train your team and partners on their use

Take ownership of cross-functional projects including policies, procedures, and process improvements that enhance the team’s goals

Develop partner strategies/account plans with partner insights, long term partnership vision, priority opportunities and risks, KPI targets and relationship development plans

Manage delivery of core partner KPIs including revenue, profitability, and other success metrics depending on partner initiatives.

Identify new opportunities, sell in and negotiate with the partner, and work across internal stakeholders, including Product, Marketing, Sales and Engineering, to develop solutions that solve partner needs and grow the business.

What we are looking for:

15+ years of experience managing strategic B2B partners/clients

5+ years of experience managing a team

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Proven ability to:

Implement and onboard new strategic partners

Navigate customer organizations and work collaboratively with the business owners/decision makers

Manage strategic relationships at a high-level (including C-level)

Build and lead a strong team at a high growth organization

Coach varying skill levels

Grow existing partnerships with a “land and expand” approach

Think and act like an entrepreneur, utilizing creative thinking to deliver value to your stakeholders

Measure the results of your team’s work

This position is located in Denver, CO and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Lifestyle Spending Account, Employee Stock Purchase Program, and 401k match. Denver office perks include paid parking, snacks, and occasional meals.

Total compensation range: $314,000 – $387,000. Equity is granted in addition to the overall compensation package. This range is inclusive of a base range and a variable bonus. Talk to your recruiter to learn more! This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience.
