Job Summary 

The Creative & Content Supervisor brings Community Food Share’s mission to life through clear storytelling, strong visual design, and thoughtful creative production. This role leads content development across the organization, ensuring brand consistency, accessibility, and cohesion across all channels.

The Supervisor creates content for digital and print platforms, leads day-to-day social media execution, and partners closely with internal teams to support fundraising communications, program storytelling, and community engagement. This role balances hands-on creative work with guidance and coordination, translating complex work into content that builds understanding, trust, and action, while developing brand-aligned assets that help teams communicate effectively and meet shared goals.

Essential Responsibilities 

Brand Application and Creative Production

  • Maintain the organization’s brand identity including tone, visuals, and messaging
  • Design and produce branded materials including brochures, collateral, banners, signage, and swag
  • Coordinate vendors to ensure print and production quality
  • Maintain brand guide adherence across the organization
  • Support accessibility and DEI commitments within creative work

Content Creation and Storytelling

  • Create engaging visuals and content for social media, email, website, and print
  • Write and design content that supports fundraising appeals, stewardship, events, and general organizational updates
  • Capture photography and videography to support mission storytelling
  • Interview donors, volunteers, shoppers, and partners to create authentic impact stories
  • Maintain and grow photo, video, and design libraries

Social Media and Digital Engagement

  • Lead day to day social media execution and content scheduling
  • Track engagement metrics and adjust content based on performance
  • Monitor online presence including reviews and mentions to ensure accuracy and responsiveness
  • Manage social media content requests from internal teams

Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Provide branded materials for departments across the organization
  • Work closely with Philanthropy to support donor engagement and fundraising content
  • Support events and campaigns with signage, creative assets, and communications

Organizational Responsibilities (Shared Across All Marketing Roles)

  • Align messaging across digital ads, email, print, web, and social
  • Support maintenance of the integrated marketing calendar
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of all public-facing content
  • Uphold consistent, warm, inclusive, and brand aligned digital communications
  • Ensure accuracy and accessibility of all digital content
  • Represent Community Food Share at events or engagements as needed
  • Stay current with digital marketing best practices, accessibility standards, and emerging tools
  • Other Marketing Dept support duties as assigned

Culture

  • Promotes collaboration and communication among all Community Food Share staff to ensure successful program implementation and ongoing program support. Directs the marketing and communications staff in a manner that promotes maximum competence, effective service delivery, and a positive work environment.

Travel

  • Travel locally in service area may be required, as well as occasional overnight travel for events and conferences.

Education and Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in brand, content, design, or creative production roles, with increasing responsibility over time
  • Strong experience creating content and visual assets for digital and print channels, including social media, email, and fundraising communications
  • Working proficiency with design and content tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar platforms
  • Experience using HubSpot or a similar platform to support email content, landing pages, forms, and basic reporting
  • Experience leading day-to-day social media execution, including content planning, publishing, and performance tracking
  • Experience applying brand standards consistently across multiple teams, channels, and materials
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate ideas into clear, usable creative assets
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and accessible content and design practices
  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License and evidence of insurability

Preferred

  • Experience in nonprofit or mission driven organizations.
  • Experience supporting fundraising, donor, or community engagement communications
  • Photography, video, or motion graphics experience
  • Spanish language proficiency

Physical Demands

This position is primarily an office/administrative position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and/or stand for long periods. Employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Employee may be required to bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, pull, stoop, climb stairs and ladders, balance, walk for extended periods of time; use hands to finger, grasp, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms above the shoulder; be able to talk; and hear with or without aid. The employee may occasionally lift, leverage, and/or move up to 25 pounds repetitively. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, color vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.

Health-Related Event Protocol

The Health-Related Event Protocol is in effect anytime required by federal, state, or local health orders, or as required by the organization for public safety.

Remote Work Eligibility: This position is classified as eligible for a hybrid remote work schedule. Hybrid is defined as being at the discretion of the supervisor and dependent upon the needs of the organization and the job responsibilities, as well as any public health orders which may be in effect at the time. Hybrid workers may be required to flex their schedules to work several days in the facility and must be able to be in the facility within 48 hours of being notified to appear. Hybrid workers are assigned private offices or cubicles onsite as they may be required to work frequently in the facility. Community Food Share will provide IT equipment for work performed in the facility; a laptop may or may not be available for remote work. Hybrid workers will be required to have access to a stable internet connection. (Team Orange Hybrid)

Work Schedule

Generally, the workweek is Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; however, occasional evenings, weekends and holidays may be required to achieve the goals of the department.

Work Environment

Community Food Share operates in a working warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving equipment. The employee may be exposed to high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; and extreme cold in the walk-ins. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be loud with machinery and equipment in operation.
