The Director of Events and Membership Cultivation works actively with the Development Director, CFO and Director in the preparation and implementation of museum events and private rentals. They are directly responsible for event coordination from start to finish and will serve as the lead staff member onsite for events. The Director of Events and Membership Cultivation also supports exhibition and other public program related receptions and community outreach events, and works on development projects as needed. Many of these events are for members as well as public events that are designed to encourage new membership at all levels. Designing an atmosphere for the institution that retains loyalty from our supporters and also encourages long term engagement. Responsible for the hiring, scheduling, managing, and training of the events and visitor facing staff. Serves as liaison to other departments in all matters related to events and membership. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
