The PIO is responsible for providing strategic communications direction and counsel. This position alsoperforms a variety of tasks related to the dissemination of information to promote the understanding of La Plata County programs, services, activities, regulations, objectives, and administrative proceedings to a wide variety of stakeholders, including the general public, communications and media representatives, community and civic groups, public agencies, and private organizations.
