As a key member of the county leadership team, the Human Resource Director is responsible for developing and executing Eagle County HR strategy aligned with the County’s mission, vision, goals and values; specifically in the areas of talent management, organizational and performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, workforce and succession planning. Partners with key stakeholders to facilitate achievement of a collaborative, engaged, and results oriented employee culture where trust is foundational, constituents are provided a high quality service experience, health and innovation are woven into the fabric of who we are and how we operate, managers and supervisors are effective coaches and mentors, and empowered employees are rewarded for excellence. Represents the County as a thought leader while executing a proactive business strategy that incorporates meaningful reporting/intelligence enabling Eagle County Government to anticipate and plan for workforce shifts while providing developmental career opportunities resulting in attracting and retaining top talent to ensure the needs of our constituents are met over time. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
