Job Summary

The Office of Alumni and Family Relations is the engagement team within the division of Advancement. In collaboration with the Associate Director, Alumni Engagement this position will create and execute impactful live and virtual alumni engagement programs, events and volunteer opportunities that strengthen the bond between the college and its alumni.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, manage logistics for, and execute live and virtual regional, volunteer and affinity programs and assist the Alumni Relations Team with presidential, athletic, lifelong learning and career programming, including occasional travel to support these events and programs.
• Serve as staff liaison to assigned Alumni Association Council committee(s).
• Manage the marketing/communications plan for regional, volunteer and affinity programs and assist with other Alumni Relations team communications needs.
• Actively support the college’s commitment to be an antiracist institution by understanding, engaging with, and promoting diversity, inclusion, and equity in the college community.
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental protection by working in a safe manner; immediately reporting unsafe situations and accidents; following college procedures; and participating in appropriate safety training.
• Demonstrate environmental sustainability by using college resources wisely and supporting the college’s sustainability initiatives and innovation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus a minimum of three years’ experience in higher education, event planning, volunteer management, career planning, customer service/relations or another related field.
• Proficient with computer software programs such as Microsoft Office; proficient in spelling, punctuation, grammar, and basic business math.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively and develop positive relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds.
• Ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
• Good judgment and ability to handle confidential/sensitive information with discretion.
• Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cascade website management, Canva, Qualtrics, Salesforce Affinaquest CRM, Emma email marketing, Momentus venue management, Blackthorn event software, PeopleGrove networking platform or similar programs; demonstrated ability to learn new software programs.
• Prior experience with alumni relations programs and knowledge of industry best practices.
• Ability to articulate the benefits of a degree from a private liberal arts college.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

  • Band F; $56,116 to $67,337 per year
