Job Summary:

The Corporate and Foundation Relations Officer (CFRO) for Regis University will maintain a dynamic portfolio of 60-70 foundations and corporations, including identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of prospects in support multiple fundraising efforts across the University. In this role, the CFRO will develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan, support major gift officers in proposal development within their portfolios, and provide guidance and oversight to campus partners pursing private philanthropic gifts and engagement in the corporate and foundation space.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive foundations and corporations fundraising plan:     In support Regis University’s strategic plan, the CFRO will create a plan that supports annual and multiyear fundraising goals, with an emphasis in new growth in foundation and corporate relationships and giving.

  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Director of Major Gifts (supervisor), to align foundation and corporate relations, grant submissions and stewardship with other faculty and staff responsible for grant management.

  • Manage primary responsibility for grant proposal and reporting writing and editing.

  • Research and develop new potential major gift ($25,000+) fundraising sources, and remain well-informed on relevant foundation funding trends and opportunities.

  • Manage a dedicated Corporate Foundations Relations (CFR) portfolio of major organizational gift prospects that supports university-wide, college-level, and departmental fundraising goals.

  • Serve on the Corporate Relations Committee at Regis to assess and align stakeholder engagement; leverage collaborative opportunities; and eliminate duplicative efforts.

  • Establish relationships with local foundations and corporate stakeholders, arranging in-person visits and campus tours when relevant.

  • Manage the timely submission of required stewardship/progress reports and events for all foundation and corporate gifts.

  • Maintain knowledge of and adherence to foundation policies, procedures, and processes regarding proposal submissions and execution.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Education:    

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.

  • Master’s degree preferred.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum four years of successful experience in non-profit fundraising and corporate and foundation fundraising. College or University development experience a plus.

  • Proven track record of securing five and six figure gifts from foundation and corporate donors.

  • Superior communication skills and experience in grant writing and editing.

  • Microsoft Office suite; experience with Salesforce or other fundraising CRM systems.

  • Planning, budgeting, and report development experience.

  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks with efficiency.

  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and work successfully with a wide variety of constituents, including donors, board members, staff, faculty, volunteers, and consultants.

  • Knowledge of and commitment to advancing the Jesuit mission, and an understanding of a private university in the system of higher education is highly valued.

  • Must have the ability to travel to donor and stakeholder-related meetings or events at various locations, and when necessary, those scheduled on evenings and weekends.

  • Full time position, 40-hour work week.
