Job Summary:
The Cultural Engagement Coordinator will serve as Cultural Affairs Division liaison to Communications & Engagement Department (C&E) and play a pivotal role in the planning, promotion, and execution of innovative marketing for cultural events and initiatives in coordination with C&E. This dynamic role is ideal for someone with a strategic mindset, capable of managing marketing efforts, creative assets, social media engagement, and event coordination. The coordinator will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and sponsors to maximize visibility and community involvement. The ideal candidate will have experience in event marketing, content creation, and building strong relationships with the community.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills:
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Arts Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3+ years in marketing, event coordination, or cultural affairs
- Proven experience in managing social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns.
- Hands-on experience working with artists, agents, contractors, and event partners on creative projects.
- Knowledge of sponsorship management and partnership coordination
OR
- Any combination of related education, experience, certifications and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job,
AND
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational abilities, able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Proficiency in social media management, website content updates, and basic graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite).
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Video & photography capture and editing a plus.
Travel
- Approximately 10% flexible, local travel required.
Essential Functions:
- Develops and implements targeted marketing and promotional campaigns in coordination with C&E designed to increase visibility and engagement for events and initiatives, reaching diverse demographic groups and expanding geographic reach.
- Utilizes data-driven insights and creative strategies to effectively promote cultural programming, fostering stronger community connections and driving participation.
- Prepares and leads implementation of the Cultural Affairs Division annual marketing plan, aligning efforts with key cultural events, and ensuring consistent messaging and brand integrity.
- Oversees the creation, design, and distribution of marketing materials (e.g., posters, banners, flyers) for events, coordinating strategic placement and delivery.
- Manages ticket requests for C&E services for planning, graphics, and marketing efforts.
- Strategically purchases and manages advertising across diverse platforms (print, digital, social, etc.), ensuring budget compliance and return on investment (ROI).
- Crafts compelling and engaging content for social media channels, websites, newsletters, and other digital platforms, amplifying the cultural affairs message
- Collaborates with the Sponsorship Coordinator to secure and manage sponsorships for events, ensuring sponsor recognition aligns with agreements.
- Monitors and analyzes the performance of marketing campaigns, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure optimal event attendance and visibility.
- Works with external partners, artists, agents, and cultural organizations to coordinate event logistics and promotional efforts.
- Manages creative assets for advertising campaigns, ensuring they meet branding, artist, and contractual guidelines.
- Collaborates with Sponsorship Coordinator to manage and uphold sponsorship agreements and partner relationships.
- Manages and curates the Cultural Affairs Department's social media presence, posting event highlights, behind-the-scenes content, and community engagement pieces.
- Coordinates with the UCCC and other teams to schedule posts, ensuring a cohesive social media strategy and content overlap.
- Captures high-quality photos and videos during events for promotional use and builds an evolving media database.
- Provide digital content support for museums, public art projects, and other initiatives, including calls for artists and event highlights.
- Organizes VIP access, meet-and-greets, and special receptions for cultural events, ensuring a memorable experience for members and sponsors.
- Facilitates outreach programs and community engagement initiatives, including focus groups, promotional booths, and ticket giveaways.
- Ensures that community voices are heard through feedback and surveys, using insights to improve future programming and event planning.
- Oversees ticketing for major cultural events, ensuring smooth processes and accurate information on the Cultural Affairs website.
- Contributes to the Year-End Report (EOY), gathering relevant data, statistics, and visual content to showcase the success of cultural initiatives.
- Creates visually engaging infographics for performance reviews and annual reports, communicating key metrics and successes.
- Assists in managing marketing contracts, ensuring that all creative assets meet both internal guidelines and artist/contract requirements.
- Works with contractors to ensure timely delivery of assets and troubleshoot any delays or issues, keeping campaigns on schedule.
- Reviews contracts, ensuring that all creative and promotional obligations are clearly outlined and met.
- Supports event-specific marketing pushes, such as holiday promotions, low sales ticket pushes, and artist-requested campaigns.
- Proactively monitors marketing performance, troubleshooting issues related to ad buys, ticket sales, or event engagement.
- Stays informed on artist schedules and event timelines, ensuring that promotional materials are prepared and launched on time.
- Coordinates updates to the Cultural Affairs website, ensuring the accurate posting of event listings, artist calls, and engaging visual content.
- Works closely with IT teams to suggest and implement improvements to enhance the website's user experience and increase visitor engagement.
- Manages updates to the Visit Greeley website including of CAD space and event inventories.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
