Director of Communications and Marketing, College of Engineering

The full-time Director of Communications and Strategic Marketing is responsible for planning and implementing strategic communications for the College internally and externally. The Director implements activities in digital, print, and social media communications; manages public relations projects and services; and initiates and leads strategic communication efforts across the College. The Director reports directly to the Dean and works in strong collaboration with College leadership, academic departments and programs, other communicators within the College and with the Colorado State University Division of External Relations. This position is responsible for building engagement with the College’s wide audience base (alumni, donors, students, prospective students, faculty, staff, academic peers) via planning, execution, and management of messaging, print and digital communication. The Director establishes strategic direction to advance the College’s brand, reputation and visibility. The Director provides subject matter expertise on communication including social media, web content and strategy, news/journalistic content, and print pieces.

Community Relations and Public Information Supervisor

Manages and provides the strategic direction for the Department marketing, public engagement, outreach and community relations programs as well as management of the volunteer and education programs. Performs professional and technical public outreach services related to all aspects of the Department. Serves as the media contact for the department and represents the department as spokesperson when appropriate. Designs, develops, and initiates public relations, education, and outreach media and events.

Public Information Offcier

Under the direction of the Town Administrator or Deputy Town Administrator, provides information to the public through a variety of means including: answering constituent phone calls and e-mails, maintaining contact with the news media, developing and publishing social media content, publishing other on-line content and communication, writing and distributing news releases, delivering presentations, planning and organizing special events and developing collateral materials.
