Mullen High School is seeking to hire an energetic committed individual to serve as Director of Annual
Giving and Grants. This is a full- time, at- will opening for immediate hire.

Position Overview
The Director of Annual Giving and Grants is responsible for managing the school’s annual fund and philanthropic outreach, including grant research, writing, reporting, and donor stewardship. This role designs and implements annual giving strategies, partners with the Chief Development Officer on major gifts cultivation, and analyzes fundraising data to guide decision-making. The Director also supports community-building events,
including Homecoming.

This is a full- time at- will position for the 2025-26 school year.

Compensation from $65,000-$80,000 depending on years of experience and education. Mullen reserves the right to pay more or less than the range.

Essential Job Functions include:

Annual Giving
● Plan, implement, and manage the Annual Fund campaign, including donor segmentation, appeals, and stewardship.
● Create and execute a year-round donor communication and stewardship plan.
● Collaborate with marketing and communications to develop fundraising materials and digital campaigns.
● Track fundraising progress and analyze donor trends to inform strategy.

Grants and Philanthropy
● Research potential grant opportunities aligned with the school’s mission and funding priorities.
● Draft and submit compelling grant proposals and reports.
● Maintain grant calendar and ensure compliance with deadlines and reporting requirements.
● Partner with Chief Development Officer to cultivate and solicit leadership-level gifts.

Event & Community Support
● Supervise Alumni Coordinator who will be the lead organizer for Alumni Weekend and other community engagement initiatives.
● Collaborate with the Alumni Coordinator and other departments on events that promote philanthropic support.
● Oversee event-related budgets and ensure alignment with school goals.

Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree required.
● 3–5 years of experience in fundraising, grant writing, or nonprofit development.
● Strong writing, communication, and analytical skills.
● Experience managing annual campaigns and working with donor databases.
● Ability to collaborate across departments and work independently.
● Commitment to the values of Catholic education and the Lasallian mission.
● Passion for education, community building, and cultivating lifelong relationships.
● Proven track record of developing relationships with donors and securing major gifts.
● Ability to understand the needs and interests of major gift donors in order to develop relationships.
● Must uphold the highest standards of work including handling sensitive, confidential donor information.

Working Conditions
● Occasional evening and weekend work required for events and donor outreach.
● May require lifting up to 20 lbs. and standing for extended periods during events.
