The Events Manager at Tennyson Center for Children will play a critical role in the creation, planning and execution of all of Tennyson’s fundraising events, as well as supporting various fundraising and marketing campaigns. This position reports directly to the Director of Philanthropy and works closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications.

Essential Job Functions

  • Create, plan, execute and evaluate at least four major fundraising events for maximum ROI.
  • Solicit, secure and steward event sponsorships by identifying prospects, conducting outreach, and ensuring timely fulfillment of all sponsor benefits.
  • Manage event sponsorship outreach, tracking, and fulfillment, and maintain accurate records of attendees, affiliations and participation for all fundraising events.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to increase attendance, revenue, sponsorships and overall visibility of all Tennyson events.
  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies for all events including donor engagement plans, giving appeals, and onsite giving opportunities.
  • Coordinate post-event follow-up with donors, including thank-you communications, impact summaries and future engagement opportunities.
  • Work closely with Director of Marketing & Communications to create successful peer to peer fundraising campaigns, including those for Colorado Gives Day and cultivation events.
  • Collaborate with the Community Engagement Coordinator and the Director of Marketing and Communications to plan and promote community events.
  • Assist with large projects and internal and external communications, as needed by team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

· Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

· Must be able to stand for lengthy periods of time during special events.

· Required to move and inventory a large amount of In-Kind donations.

Working Conditions

· Team atmosphere

· 80-100% on-site work is required.

· Able to work some evening/weekend events as needed

Minimum Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree

· 3-5+ years of fundraising event experience

· Knowledge of or proficient with Microsoft Office, Teams, Raiser’s Edge and other CRM software.

· Valid CO driver licensure

· All positions require criminal CBI background check, FBI fingerprint check, State of CO child abuse check, DMV driving record check, pre-employment drug test, pre-employment physical, academic credential verification, and reference check.
