Summary

The Greater Arvada Chamber of Commerce is excited to add a Marketing and Member Experience Manager to our team. This role helps deliver a “WOW” experience for our members by elevating our marketing presence and creating and executing engaging, inclusive member events. The Marketing and Member Experience Manager supports day-to-day communications (email, social media and website) and collaborates across the team to plan and execute member events and signature Chamber programs.

Description

Marketing & Member Communication

  • Content Creation: Work with the Chamber team to create compelling content for various marketing channels, including video, blog posts, and event promotional materials, to effectively communicate the Chamber's mission, events, and initiatives.

  • Email Marketing: Coordinate and send email communications, including newsletters, event invitations, and special announcements.

  • Graphic Design: Develop visually appealing graphics, infographics, and marketing collateral using design software.

  • Website Management: Support website maintenance tasks, including updating content, posting event listings, and optimizing the user experience to ensure the Chamber's website remains informative and user-friendly.

  • Social Media Management: Manage the Chamber's social media channels, including content creation, scheduling posts, and engaging with followers.

  • Manage marketing and communications for ART (Arvada Resiliency Taskforce)

  • Manage and deliver member marketing purchased through the Marketing Store

  • Learn and utilize Chamber communication platforms including Emma, Hootsuite, social media channels, Canva, and website tools to ensure internal cross-training and support.

  • Ensure a consistent brand voice and alignment with Chamber priorities and inclusion purpose across all marketing and member communication channels.

 

Member Events & Programming

  • Plan and execute member-facing events including ribbon cuttings, networking events, receptions, and luncheons.

  • Manage and/or support Chamber programming including Arvada Young Professionals, Inspiring Women, Leadership Bootcamp, Nonprofit Network and Business Resource Center events.

  • Manage Chamber campaigns including Wow Women of Arvada and Future20.

  • Support delivery of signature Chamber events such as the Annual Dinner, Golf Tournament, Taste of Arvada, Day of Service, Industry Convenings and other large programs through promotion, logistics support, and day-of coordination.

  • Organize event logistics including invitations, registrations, room setup, sponsor fulfillment, catering coordination, audio-visual needs, and run-of-show.

  • Attend events and serve as a welcoming point of contact for members, guests, and community partners.

General Duties

  • Attend regular staff meetings, events, and community functions as an ambassador of the Chamber.

  • Support general office needs including phones, greeting guests, and maintaining a welcoming office environment.

  • Foster member-to-member connections and partnerships that enhance the local business ecosystem.

 

Must-Have Skills

 

  • Technological Proficiency: Show comfort with technology including Google Suite, WordPress, social media tools, email marketing platforms, basic website editing, and design tools such as Canva and Adobe Illustrator.

  • Customer service: Maintain a high level of engagement, empathy, problem-solving, and communication with internal and external partners

  • Flexibility: Adjust to short-term change quickly and calmly, so that you can deal with unexpected problems or tasks effectively

  • Project/process management: Manage priorities, processes, timelines, organized record keeping and task deliverables across a variety of overlapping projects

  • Interpersonal Savvy: Maintain a high-energy and positive attitude when dealing with various personalities and differences of opinion in a collaborative environment

The Environment

The Greater Arvada Chamber team is dynamic and committed to the success of our organization and community. While team members are given flexibility, they are held accountable to performance measurements to ensure objectives are achieved. Early mornings and occasional evening meetings are a part of our work, and all team members are asked to attend as appropriate. Applicants must be able to travel efficiently to off-site meeting locations throughout the region.
