Description

Colorado Public Radio (CPR) is seeking a Data Services Program Manager.

About the Position:

CPR’s Data Services Program Manager ensures donor data and gift processing are accurate, timely, and reliable. You will manage a fundraising data specialist, overseeing daily gift entry and donor acknowledgements, maintain data integrity in Salesforce through reconciliations and quality assurance checks, and ensure our donation and revenue data is correct and dependable. You’ll collaborate with several teams including finance, marketing, and other fundraising colleagues to support accurate donor list pulls, clean donation reporting, and smooth data workflows. In this role, you’ll turn strong data practices into a strategic asset that supports donor retention and informed decision making.

The new hire is expected to reside in the greater Denver metro area upon starting – this is not a remote position. However, a hybrid schedule is available that requires a minimum of 3 days in the office each week.

About You:

You love working with data, keeping it clean, reliable and useful for others to make informed decisions. You’re a keen problem solver who enjoys investigating discrepancies and understanding why things happen so you can implement lasting solutions. Consistency and clear documentation are your strengths.  You approach workflows not just as tasks, but as systems to be optimized for efficiency, scalability, and user experience. You can explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical colleagues. You’re diplomatic, adaptable, and a thoughtful listener who values collaboration and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in roles focused on data integrity and managing interconnected data systems.
  • A minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Strong proficiency with CRMs (Salesforce is preferred).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Non-profit financial literacy and a knowledge of things like 501c3 IRS gift substantiation rules, donation acknowledgements, cash vs accrual, pledges vs payments, and soft vs hard credits.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build consensus between teams.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational, documentation, and procedural skills.

Education Equivalency

  • A fully relatable bachelor’s or master’s degree may replace some of the required years of experience needed to qualify for the position, but is not required for the role.

Even if you don’t meet every qualification listed, we’re interested in candidates who can bring unique skills, perspectives, and experiences to the role. At Colorado Public Radio, we are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, equitable and authentic workplace. If you're excited about this role, but your past experience doesn't perfectly align with every qualification in the job posting, we encourage you to apply as you may be the right candidate for this or other roles with us.
