Description
The Art Center of Western Colorado (TAC) is a regional arts organization dedicated to enriching lives by promoting the enjoyment and understanding of the arts. We achieve this through studio art instruction, educational programs for all ages and abilities, captivating exhibitions, the curation and display of a permanent art collection, and the presentation of performing arts, including concerts and live stage plays.
Position Objective: The Marketing and Events Coordinator is tasked with promoting The Art Center's classes, exhibitions, and programming. This role is responsible for day-to-day marketing and communications, event planning, graphic design, copywriting, and project management.
By developing both internal and external marketing collateral, the Coordinator ensures all materials adhere to TAC brand and style guidelines. Additionally, the Coordinator is the lead planner for some of TAC’s most vital events, including the Annual Holiday Art and Craft Fair and Paint the Town, our annual benefit and fine art auction.
Essential Functions:
• Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing campaigns to promote TAC and its diverse programming.
• Graphic Design & Content Creation: Design and produce marketing collateral, including Art Matters magazine, postcards, posters, and digital assets.
• Digital Communications: Manage and oversee email campaigns and social media marketing.
• Print Marketing: Coordinate physical marketing efforts, including direct and bulk mailings. Liaise with print companies and mail houses to ensure cost-effective, high-quality production and delivery.
• Event Coordination: Lead the planning and execution of key events, including the Holiday Art and Craft Fair, Paint the Town, and other events alongside staff and volunteers.
• Website Management: With other staff, maintain and update the TAC website, ensuring content is accurate, attractive, and user-friendly.
• Brand Advocacy: Actively promote and further the overarching mission of The Art Center.
• General Support: Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Working Conditions: This position requires standard office desk work alongside occasional light physical duties associated with event setup and organization.

Qualifications & Requirements:
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications (specifically Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop) with strong print layout and graphic design skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven experience writing newsletters, press releases, and marketing content.
• Strong social media, digital, and print marketing experience.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects on tight deadlines.
• Preferred: A passion for the arts and a deep understanding of the value of community arts organizations.
• Preferred: A Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, design, or a related field.
• Preferred: Prior experience working in the non-profit sector.
Compensation & Benefits:
• Starting Salary: $20 per hour.
• Benefits: Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays; 3% matching SIMPLE IRA; Appleton Clinic membership; plus one free class per regular session for the employee or an immediate family member.
