The Utilities Director leads the City of Grand Junction’s Utilities Department and serves as a member of the City’s Executive Leadership Team, reporting to the Deputy City Manager. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for water and wastewater services, environmental compliance, laboratory services, asset management, and utility billing.
Work directly with senior management to develop regulatory case filings and strategies that support the company’s strategic goals and objectives. Consult with subject matter experts throughout the company to develop filings and strategies consistent with company goals. Communicate and work effectively with regulatory case management teams to ensure filings consistent with strategies.
Position is accountable for excellent communications project management, writing and client service. Contributes to corporate goals and targets through implementation of communications plans for internal and external audiences. Coordinates work with other Communications staff to ensure alignment with overall strategy for the company and/or business units, jurisdictions and issues.
