The Marketing and Communications Department handles all of the marketing activities for the three FRCC campuses, one center, and several off-site locations. The department handles advertising, public relations and counsel, website content and ongoing management, and graphic design for all communications pieces directed at the prospective student audience, parents, advisors, and others in the community.
The FRCC Graphic Designer is the project leader and subject matter expert for graphic design, and as such, produces marketing materials like flyers, posters, and program brochures as well as taking photographs for the website and other print materials. This position must be able to maintain the FRCC brand look and feel with all of the materials developed for both print and electronic media. This position works directly with FRCC internal customers, outside vendors, handles the bidding of print jobs and has knowledge of all state purchasing rules and regulations. Although this position reports to the Director of Marketing, the person in this position must also respond directly to the needs of the internal college customers and be able to discern what the ultimate goal is and provide a solution that meets their needs while staying with the graphic standards of the college. This position includes photography and webs skills in addition to a graphic design skill set. To reach the prospective audiences for FRCC, we must put our marketing messaging in the media they use – the internet, Facebook, and other similar social media. This position is a college wide but located at the Westminster Campus; and will be expected to travel to all three campuses when needed.
