Journalism Jobs

Reporter

This job is a combination of reporting, writing and editing in the Switzerland of America, high in the San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado. The Ouray County Plaindealer is an award-winning, small but mighty publication which has a reputation for punching above its weight. You might remember us from the story about our newspapers being stolen by a thief who didn’t want the community to read a story about an alleged sex assault at the police chief’s house.

Editor

The Sky-Hi News is seeking an editor to lead its small newsroom. The ideal candidate will be a leader and a planner who knows how to strategize and execute a wide variety of content — from in-depth features to concise breaking news updates — working collaboratively with writers, designers and editors on coverage.

Assistant Editor/Senior Reporter

The Aspen Times seeks a senior reporter/assistant editor to help lead the newsroom. This is a hybrid role with roughly equal focus on reporting, copy editing, and print production, making it ideal for a journalist who thrives both in the field and on the desk.

Director of Communications

The Communications Director is RMP’s internal lead for communications strategy, brand stewardship, and organizational storytelling. This role sets the arc for how RMP communicates across internal and external audiences, partners closely with school and network leadership on messaging, and ensures that every channel, campaign, and public-facing moment reinforces who we are and where we are going.
