Journalism Jobs

Managing Editor

The Managing Editor will manage BRL’s day-to-day newsroom operations, driving coverage and ensuring stories are edited and published on schedule. This person will manage the editorial calendar, coordinate assignments and deadlines across staff reporters, freelancers and contributors, and track stories from assignment through publication.

Music Editor

The most successful candidate will combine a wide-ranging love of music, a fanaticism for detail and an aptitude for connecting with audiences and exploring audience data. We are not seeking a columnist or a critic, though you will find plenty of room to write and produce social media content. Foremost, we want to see a passion for fact-finding and a knack for getting the best possible work out of freelancers.

Legislative Reporter

The Denver Post is seeking an experienced reporter to join a two-person team covering the state legislature and state government.  This is a highly competitive beat so the successful candidate will need to be ready to out-hustle others in the market.  More importantly, we’re looking for a reporter who can break news and make smart story choices that will connect the people of Colorado to the decisions made by their elected officials.

Senior Marketing Writer & Editor

The Senior Marketing Writer and Editor will uphold writing standards for the organization with meticulous attention to consistency, factual accuracy, voice, tone, spelling, and grammar. They will edit all major outbound marketing communications while crafting clear, bold, and engaging pieces of written content that are on brand and meet the organization’s long-term strategic objectives.
