The Town of Vail’s mission is to grow a vibrant, diverse economy and community and preserve our surrounding natural environment, providing our citizens and guests with exceptional services and an abundance of premier recreational, cultural and educational opportunities. One major component of this is our special events. The Town of Vail is seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Special Events Coordinator. This role will coordinate the overall town operation for special events including; development and implementation of event permitting process, multi-department coordination for event success and to enforce permit compliance and financial transactions associated with fulfillment of these programs. This position will also work in conjunction with the Economic Development Team and Assistant Town Manager to accomplish program objectives. The Special Events Coordinator will receive primary work direction, review and guidance from the Economic Development Director, while also receiving some direction from the Town Council, Commission on Special Events, Town Manager and other staff members associated with event programming.
