The National Western Stock Show is in search of an Account Manager to join our Strategic Partnerships team and aid the organization in creating and maintaining strong, positive relationships with our corporate partners.

Overview
The Strategic Partnerships Account Manager is responsible for managing relationships with our corporate partners as well as implementing all contractual elements including but not limited to: signage, print publications, in-arena promotions, education programming and hospitality events. The Account Manager will work daily with partners to develop and maintain activation platforms that not only drive the success of NWSS but meet partner goals and objectives.

The ideal candidate has a background in account management, marketing, client services, hospitality and/or similar, with strong communication skills and the ability to juggle various client types with differing measures of success. This position allows for creativity while developing and executing partnership platforms and aligning partner brands with the National Western Stock Show, both on-site and in-market.

Reports to: Senior Director, Strategic Partnerships

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists in the execution of all client contractual elements including print, digital, & social media, trade show & education programming, and on-site signage.
  • Assists with all Partner Promotions (in-market and on-site), hospitality packages, and media components. Makes recommendations to clients on ways to maximize their partnership.
  • Establishes strong client relationships throughout sponsor and agency companies at all levels (mid-management up to C-level).
  • Manages and maintains existing accounts on an annual basis.
  • Traffics all creative for signage, print, and media productions.
  • Initiates client recap material and recap proposal for internal review. Makes modifications as needed.
  • Analyses of surveys and consumer data in order to recommend changes and possible improvements based on market trends.
  • Evaluates contractual elements and additional opportunities to ensure proper alignment of partnership with client objectives.
  • Assists with implementation and coordination of NWSS Education programs.
  • Develops and maintains an atmosphere focused on teamwork through quality interactions with all departments.

Skills & Abilities

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; will consider experience in lieu of education.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in account management, marketing, or similar field required.
  • Prior knowledge/experience of sponsorship tactics, negotiation strategies, event planning/production, campaign planning/management, and media preferred.  

Physical Demands
National Western Complex is a multi-purpose indoor and outdoor commercial and agricultural complex where dusty conditions and animals may exist. While performing the duties of this job, work is performed both indoors and outside in all weather conditions, including extreme cold, snow, wind, and rain, on varied surfaces.

In this role, individuals will experience prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Incumbent must be able to lift 15 pounds and access/navigate the National Western Complex in its entirety, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Scheduling Requirements
While the schedule for this position is primarily Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, there will be certain occasions in which early morning, late evening, weekend, or holiday availability will be required to perform the essential functions of this position.

Like almost all NWSS team members, this position will need to be on-site every day during Stock Show, typically for 12-16 hours at a time.

Compensation & Benefits

  • This is a full-time salaried/exempt position.
  • Compensation for this position will include a base salary starting at $55,000.00 annually and a robust bonus & incentives structure.
