The Ideal Candidate Will Bring

  • Proven experience in graphic design, editorial writing, and strategic communications

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)

  • Strong editorial writing skills and storytelling abilities

  • Experience with DSLR photography and photo editing

  • Excellence in project management and organization

  • Passion for public education and community impact

Essential Responsibilities

  • Write compelling stories about school programs, student achievements, and district initiatives

  • Create graphic designs for digital and print materials, including marketing collateral, flyers, brochures, and social media graphics.

  • Capture high-quality photos of school events and activities.

  • Create engaging social media content and support implementation of school social media strategies.

  • Support execution of school marketing plans and track effectiveness of marketing initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in marketing/communications, including graphic design, content creation, and marketing

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

  • Strong writing and AP Style knowledge

  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with DSLR camera and videography

  • Spanish language fluency

  • Experience in educational communications

  • Experience with Canva
