Coloradans for Protecting Reproductive Freedom, the ballot measure committee seeking to add the right to an abortion to the Colorado Constitution regardless of health insurance, seeks a hard-working, self-motivated individual to join our team as Deputy Finance Director based in Denver, Colorado.

Description

The Deputy Finance Director helps execute the fundraising strategy. They oversee the implementation of the fundraising event schedule and call time, provide leadership and support to the team in achieving quarterly goals, and are responsible for providing complete and accurate documentation for internal fundraising tracking and numbers.  
In addition to overseeing finance staff and volunteers, the deputy finance director manages donor relationships and is responsible for national fundraising, in-state fundraising, events fundraising, and related fundraising call time. Works with the Finance Director to monitor and reconcile the event fundraising plan and subsequent call time and how that coincides with the overall fundraising plan. Provides oversight of NGP to ensure integrity for internal tracking and/or reporting when necessary. 

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Updating Event Finance Plan
  • Daily management of the Finance Team where necessary 
  • Management of donor relationship programs 
  • Assisting the Finance Director with planning and staffing fundraising events 
  • Staffing coalition chairs during meetings 
  • Draft written fundraising materials, including communication templates, invitations, and memos
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of the call time program
  • Complete all phone, email or mail follow-ups for call time
  • Overseeing the TY note program
  • Oversee the Direct Mail program

Qualifications

  • At least one cycle campaign fundraising experience, two cycles preferred
  • Experience with a political campaign, committee, or PAC
  • Ability to manage a principal
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Experience working with NGP
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours, including nights and weekends
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable motor vehicle
