This position serves as the team lead for the Employee Relations team and Benefits and Leave Specialists, providing coaching and mentoring to team members and direct day-to-day operations and workload management. Ensures timely responses and monitors complex leave cases to ensure proper administration of various types of leave and job protection. Serves as the primary position responsible for Workers’ Compensation claims for CDLE.

Description

This position will have hybrid workplace options available but will still be required to report to the listed address 2 times per week. It may also be required to report at the discretion of the supervisor and based on business need.

The salary range for this position is:
$32.74 – $47.87 Hourly
$2,619.23 – $3,829.38 Biweekly
$5,675.00 – $8,297.00 Monthly
$68,100.00 – $99,564.00 Annually 

This position serves as the team lead for the Employee Relations team and Benefits and Leave Specialists, providing coaching and mentoring to team members and direct day-to-day operations and workload management. Ensures timely responses and monitors complex leave cases to ensure proper administration of various types of leave and job protection. Serves as the primary position responsible for Workers’ Compensation claims for CDLE.

This position will serve to create a streamlined employee experience from onboarding to offboarding. This position will work with all sections of Human Resources and divisional hiring to ensure a consistent CDLE cultural message is communicated to all employees throughout their career. This position will assist in recruitment and retention through developing tools to communicate total compensation, identifying potential staff issues during the first 90 days of employment, gathering data, and assisting in process improvements. This position will focus on creating a culture of engagement where employees feel valued and have opportunities to learn and grow within the organization.

Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

Seven years of professional level experience in a Human Resource Office administering at least one of the following:

  • Benefits including health insurance
  • Family Medical Leave
  • Short Term Disability

OR 

Education and Experience: 

A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to seven (7) years 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leave administration experience
  • Experience managing and entering data into HR databases and systems
  • Experience reporting and managing workers' compensation claims
  • Experience with managing reasonable accommodations requests under ADA
  • Experience onboarding new employees
  • Professional supervisor and team leadership experience.
  • Experience with employee engagement.
  • Experience performing alike duties as a State of Colorado classified employee.

Conditions of Employment:
