Qualifications:
- Enrolled in or recent graduate from an accredited university and working toward a bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, social media, marketing or a related field
- Strong writing and grammatical skills (AP style) and interpersonal communications skills
- Knowledge of and interest in the digital media landscape, including various social media sites and local publications
- An interest in and understanding of the hospitality / restaurant industries
- Creative thinkers with a love of all things food and beverage are strongly encouraged to apply
Description / Media Relations + Social Media Support
- Create copy for social media calendars. Majority of clients are local restaurants.
- Conduct content (photo + video) shoots for inclusion on social media channels + visual support for PR pitching efforts.
- Engage with audiences on social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikToK)
- Assist in creating copy content for client newsletters.
- Create media lists based on research for pitching purposes
- Draft press releases and pitches for a variety of hospitality-focused clients
- Other related and reasonable duties as assigned
Employer + Employee Commitment
- 15 hours / week of educational and experiential work (10 a.m. – 4 p.m. 3 days / week)
- Denver-based
- Direct supervision with weekly check-in meetings
- Portfolio building at conclusion of internship
- $20/ hour or experience for college credit hours in exchange for time spent
