You can contribute by reporting, writing and producing AWWA’s e-newsletter and communicating key messages to the public, association members and internal stakeholders.
Report, write, edit and design bi-weekly member e-mail publication covering water industry issues, member features and association initiatives
Prepare targeted member communications and advocacy reports
Develop, implement, and manage communications projects within deadlines to increase/enhance distribution of AWWA messages into targeted markets including but not limited to general, consumer and trade publications
Participate on cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in AWWA communications objectives and messages
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience and four years’ public affairs, journalism or media relations experience required. Candidates must demonstrate strong writing and organizational skills, ability to work with e-mail templates and websites, and aptitude for communicating complex ideas to general audiences. Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively manage partnerships with internal and external customers. Proficient in MS Office applications.
Compensation dependent upon qualifications; hiring pay is targeted between $60,000 and $65,000 and is paired with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
- Immediate eligibility and vesting for retirement savings plan with a 3% company match and 6% employer contribution upon hire.
