Walking Mountains is seeking an experienced professional for the Senior Director of Finance position with our Organization.
The Senior Director of Finance is critical in the successful operation of the Walking Mountains Organization. This position directs and oversees the financial functions and works closely as an advisor to the President. This role manages the Finance Department. As a member of the senior management team, this role participates in strategic planning and management for the Organization.
Ideal candidates will meet the following qualifications:
- Degree in related field preferred but may be substituted with experience.
- CPA training preferred.
- Experience with following Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Ability for strategic organizational thinking.
- Excellent computer, administrative, organizational and communication skills are required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and QuickBooks required and experience with Bloomerang preferred.
- Minimum ten years’ experience working in an administrative capacity
- Minimum eight years’ experience in a management or leadership role
- Minimum two years’ experience working with a non-profit or similar environment.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task efficiently is essential.
