This role is responsible for curating and managing immersive guest experiences, ensuring top-tier customer service, and fostering partnerships that elevate Red Rocks as a premier tourist destination.

Key Responsibilities

Red Rocks stands as a nationally recognized cultural landmark with a deep and evolving history. While some of its legacy has been documented, there is an opportunity to capture its full impact more comprehensively in comparison to similar venues. This role will be responsible for compiling a detailed historical record of Red Rocks, preserving notable current events within the venue’s archives, acquiring and curating artifacts for public display, managing exhibits within the visitor center, and developing an engaging tour program. These efforts will ensure that the public gains a deeper understanding of the venue’s history, its significance to the community, and its profound influence on performers and guests alike.

  • Develop and implement tourism strategies that enhance the visitor experience while preserving the cultural and environmental integrity of Red Rocks.

  • Design and manage guided tours, special events, and interactive experiences for diverse audiences.

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote tourism programs, drive attendance, and enhance brand awareness.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with local businesses, travel agencies, and tour operators to increase tourism opportunities.

  • Oversee guest services, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for visitors.

  • Lead and train a team of tour guides and hospitality staff to provide exceptional customer service, this including assisting with all staffing responsibilities (hiring, training, discipline, evaluations, etc.) and with on-site management of weekend and evening tours.

  • Utilize visitor feedback and data analytics to continuously improve experiences and offerings.

Ideal Candidate

  • Passion for delivering world-class visitor experiences and storytelling.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to dynamic situations.

  • Experience in leveraging digital tools and social media to enhance visitor outreach and engagement.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and with external stakeholders.

  • Enthusiasm for music, outdoor experiences, and cultural tourism.

Minimum Qualifications

We understand that your time is valuable please do not apply unless you meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Management, Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, or a related field. Curating, archiving, history

  • Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of professional or technical level experience planning the administrative aspects of a program(s) or training program participants curating, documenting history, archiving, and/or volunteers. (Some positions may require experience in a specific program area.)

  • Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.

Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.

License/Certifications: By position, requires certification in CPR/First Aid at the time of application or by the completion of probation.
