Executive Director: The Colorado League Board of Directors is seeking a passionate, motivated, and professional director. The Executive Director provides leadership and direction, ensuring alignment between the League’s mission, vision, and values while fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and successful organizational culture and climate.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, operate, and lead the league
  • Facilitate the Board of Directors as Ex-officio member
  • Promote the League mission and vision for its future
  • Financial oversight of budget, purchasing, payroll, accounting and regulatory compliance
  • Human resource oversight of hiring, scheduling, evaluation, benefits and compensation
  • Oversight of all teams participating in the league
  • Race series oversight of logistics, coaches, venues, rules, communications, and volunteers
  • Oversight of safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management
  • Directly responsible for sponsor relationships, fundraising, marking, and strategic growth
  • Facilitate board governance through effective teamwork with members
  • Provide direction and support to all board committees
  • Lead annual budget adoption and financial planning
  • Develop strategic plans and initiatives

Desired Qualifications

  • 5 years experience with management and leadership, non profit preferred
  • Experience with successful event production
  • Business and finance skills, including forecasting and budgeting
  • Technical proficiency with the following or similar software: SmartSheets, MS Office, QuickBooks, Google for Office
  • Experience with successful fundraising
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant area
  • Loves kids and bicycles

Work Environment:

  • Office located at headquarters in Boulder, Colorado
  • Not a remote position
  • Requires travel for events, meetings, community engagements, sponsorship and fundraising
  • Demands flexibility in hours and commitment to working evenings and weekends as needed especially for events and activities

Compensation: Salary Range of $100k to $125k

Benefits: Eligible for health care stipend & 403b retirement contributions

Calendar: Full time; 253 annual work day calendar

Reports: To the Board of Directors

Background Check: Required

Start Date: June 1, 2025 or sooner
