Overview The Job in a Nutshell: The Brand Strategy Manager is responsible for protecting, building, and amplifying the brand through compliant, high-impact creative execution. This role oversees brand risk management, intellectual property development, media production, public-facing communications, and cross-functional creative projects. The position ensures all brand assets are legally compliant, strategically aligned, and designed to increase long-term brand equity.

Responsibilities Main Ingredients:

  • Serve as Brand Guardian and Risk Manager, overseeing licensing for music, footage, graphics, and fonts; coordinating with Legal to ensure all creative assets are compliant and litigation-free.
  • Manage talent and location releases in partnership with Legal across all media formats.
  • Act as an IP Asset Builder by developing original owned content such as podcasts, video series, and digital franchises that create long-term enterprise value.
  • Lead grand opening films and work with the director of PR to help with efforts, including on-site production, rapid response content, and creation of professional Electronic Press Kits (EPKs) when needed.
  • Support PR outreach by preparing media-ready assets and assisting with news and local media engagement via interviews, working with the Director of PR.
  • Serve as Spanish Market Lead by producing culturally relevant Spanish-language content and creating relationships with outlets such as Univision and Telemundo.
  • Develop private label campaigns using premium storytelling to increase visibility and sales of high-margin products via video.
  • Provide project management for complex creative initiatives to ensure timelines and budgets are met.
  • Oversee outdoor digital signage.
  • Act as a public-facing brand advocate when needed, participating in events, panels, interviews, and educational engagements.
  • Assist in content creation and editing for social videos and other marketing video needs and initiatives.
  • Assist in photography shoots along with other team members.
  • Supporting the Local Store Marketing Team in the development and execution of promotions and competitive activation initiatives.
  • Collaborating with the Npower team to design and deliver engaging games for Npower members, managing the full gamification process from concept through to launch and evaluation.
  • Travel to grand openings to assist and create content for media, PR and promotional use.

Qualifications Recipe for Success:

  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience of creative management/development
  • Experience in brand strategy, media production, and creative leadership
  • Strong understanding of licensing, IP protection, and legal compliance
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across departments
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Strategic, detail-oriented, and adaptable in fast-moving environments
  • Must be proficient in MS word, excel and outlook.
  • Must be organized with great attention to detail
  • Ability to manage changing priorities
  • Ability to stay focused with the task at hand and follow through to completion

Physical Requirements

  • Must have the ability to constantly lift or carry up to 10 lbs., frequently lift or carry 11-20 lbs., and occasionally lift or carry 21-50 lbs. Must also have the ability to occasionally lift or carry 51-100 lbs. with a team lift.
  • Must have the ability to frequently push or pull up to 15 lbs. and occasionally push or pull 16-100 lbs.
  • Must be able to occasionally use the computer for data entry and use of mouse.
  • Must be able to constantly walk, stand, use fine motor manipulations, grip, bend, twist, turn, and reach outward for the duration of the work shift.
