The Environmental Coordinator will provide environmental guidance and coordinated support for the drilling and development planning in BP’s Wyoming operations. The role may also support other L48 projects that require the technical expertise held by this individual. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven success in a dynamic, fast paced environment and show critical thinking, innovation, and agility in executing on multiple, complex initiatives. The ideal candidate would also demonstrate working knowledge of oil and gas development on federal, fee, and state lands, including policy level and technical knowledge of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Endangered Species Act (ESA), Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MBTA), the State of Wyoming Executive Order 2015-04, and issues associated with greater sage-grouse and managing oil and gas activity in areas identified as Core and Non-Core habitat, wildlife issues, and knowledge of other environmental topics necessary to support new development planning and development execution. This role will work under the direction of the NBU HSE Manager and will coordinate and collaborate closely with the NBU Land and Regulatory Manager to support development planning and execution. This position will be based in Denver, Colorado.
