COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST

Main Responsibilities

  • Support Comm team on GCC´s internal and external communications strategies and programs that engage, inspire and align employees and other stakeholders (community, social media, etc.) with GCC´s brand, vision, priorities and key initiatives.
  • Lead daily internal communications for employees across global internal channels including but not limited to intranet (SSFF), mobile app(SSFF), video, podcasts, events, employees’ roundtables and live meetings to deliver consistent and timely information
  • Develop content that promotes employee engagement, culture, diversity and inclusion, and corporate social responsibility.
  • Guide and assist requestors on how and what communicate effectively with different audiences.
  • Tactical and strategic planning for media relations and social media.
  • Strengthened problem-Solving protocols, Improvement of crisis management outreach.
  • Ensured quality control and consistency of organization´s messaging.
  • Strategic collaboration. Collaborates with team members on communications planning and strategy to inform and facilitate employee communications and culture activation.
  • Define metrics, track and report on the effectiveness of all communications. Develops innovative communication tools and channels to better share out message and brand with employees, customers, candidates, and other audiences

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, business administration, public relations or similar field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience managing corporate communications programs or related

Technical skills:

  • Outstanding organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Social media management.
  • Data base management
  • Microsoft suite, Canva, photoshop, social network and illustrator
  • Strong editorial and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail and ability to project manage a variety of tasks

Knowledge:

  • Comfortable working at all levels of the organization and multicultural organizations
  • Attention to detail
  • Organized, able to manage against deadlines
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and how to effectively deploy internally and externally

Interpersonal skills:

  • Problem-solving
  • Excellent communication (Oral and Written) and presentation skills.
  • Team oriented
  • Research, web design, timeframe, others
  • Change management
  • Works well under pressure

Prefer experienced in:

  • Corporate/Employee communications
  • Social Media
  • Public relations
  • Marketing communications
  • A passion for storytelling, with a curiosity for continuous learning
  • A strong track record of working with drafting senior leader and executive communications programs
  • Proven experience working cross-culturally
  • Experience communication through significant culture change within a company
  • Passion for creating a diverse and inclusive culture where people can bring their best selves to work
