Colorado Public Radio (CPR) is seeking a Leadership Giving Lead.
About the Position:
The Leadership Giving Lead is a strategic frontline fundraiser and mentor who will both drive philanthropic support for Colorado Public Radio while coaching other Gift Officers. This role is designed for an experienced gift officer who knows the donor cycle well and has a track record of securing high-level six figure gifts. You’ll manage a portfolio of donors while also serving as a team lead, coach and mentor. This role is ideal for someone with strong fundraising experience who is looking to share their knowledge with others and grow their leadership skills.
The new hire is expected to reside in the greater Denver metro area upon starting – this is not a remote position. However, a hybrid schedule is available that requires a minimum of 3 days in the office each week (Tues – Thurs). Some local travel and occasional non-standard work hours will be needed in order to meet with donors.

You are a collaborative teammate with strong interpersonal skills and experience coaching and mentoring others. You have a strong ability to articulate an organization’s mission, impact, and fundraising needs to a variety of audiences. A proactive approach will help you foster strong relationships and drive fundraising improvements. Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of fundraising experience, including nurturing 1:1 relationships with a portfolio of donors, securing six-figure gifts, and meeting fundraising goals.
- At least 1 year of coaching or mentoring experience, helping others develop technical and interpersonal skills to improve workplace performance.
- Strong written, verbal and presentations skills including experience developing clear, concise funding proposals.
- Experience building trust, navigating conflict constructively, adapting to diverse perspectives, and fostering positive working relationships.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, complete projects, and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with customer relationship management systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
Education Equivalency:
- A fully relatable bachelor’s or master’s degree may replace some (not all) of the required years of experience needed to qualify for the position, but is not required for the role.
