Position Summary

The Multimedia Content Coordinator will expand Trailhead's digital presence through dynamic storytelling and engaging visual content creation. This role is pivotal in showcasing Trailhead's mission and impact across written and digital platforms. Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager, the Multimedia Content Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Operations Team, Trailhead Staff, and external partners.

This position will work a hybrid-remote schedule with a focus on Colorado communities.

Responsibilities:

Develop and produce compelling multimedia content for Trailhead's website, newsletter, and social media platforms, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and strategic objectives

Collaborate with the Senior Communications Manager to plan and execute Trailhead's annual content calendar, integrating a multimedia content strategy to enhance engagement and reach

Identify and capture impactful stories from Trailhead Programs, staff, and partners, conducting interviews and producing engaging written, photo, and video content that demonstrates impact and advocacy for public health

Create informative and visually compelling social media content tailored to platform best practices, optimizing for audience engagement and growth

Research and implement effective strategies and trends to enhance Trailhead's social media presence, providing strategic recommendations for channel expansion and leveraging platforms like Hootsuite for content scheduling and management

Monitor online engagement and respond to inquiries and comments, maintaining Trailhead's positive reputation across digital channels

Integrate values-based messaging and transformative narrative practices in all communications related to public health, environmental health, and equity

Support editing and review of collateral, reports, and presentations, ensuring messaging is clear and enhances health literacy

Collaborate with the Senior Communications Manager and internal teams to develop program-specific communications including collateral, social media campaigns, and video assets

Support the maintenance of Trailhead's website and other duties as assigned

Exercise independent judgment and discretion about Trailhead's communications plan

Support in-house photography efforts, capturing high-quality images at partner events, program gatherings, and staff engagements, while maintaining and organizing Trailhead's visual media library for ongoing content needs

Reference and integrate Trailhead's strategic plan in all communication initiatives and decision making

Skills

Familiarity with the public health field preferred, knowledge of health in Colorado a plus

Minimum 3 years of professional experience in multimedia content creation, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in social media marketing, video production, and storytelling

Passion for storytelling and human-centered content creation, with a proactive approach to exploring new mediums and platforms

Excellent written communication skills with a keen eye for detail and adherence to brand guidelines and health literacy principles

Willingness to take a creative, open approach to exploring new channels and mediums of communication

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines

Keen ability to approach challenges with openness, collaboration, and professionalism

Preferred proficiency in Microsoft Office, WordPress, Hootsuite, LinkedIn, and Zoom, as well as the aptitude to learn software as needed

Experience using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite a plus

Flexibility in communication style to effectively engage diverse stakeholders both internally and externally

Respectful interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, able to resolve issues directly as they arise through the practice of ethical communication

This is a full-time exempt position with office facilities in Denver, Colorado. This is a hybrid position. The applicant selected for this position must reside in Colorado in commutable distance to Denver. All business is conducted in Mountain Time.

Salary & Benefits

Salary for this position is $62,000 – 67,000. Trailhead Institute offers a generous benefits package including paid vacation and sick time (prorated ,for part-time employees), health, dental, vision, life, short-term and long-term disability, a free RTD EcoPass, and a 401k with a 100% employer match up to 10% of compensation.

The salary for this position is provided by limited-term funding. If the funding ends, the position may be discontinued, and there is no guarantee for future employment with Trailhead Institute.

License and Proof of Insurance Requirement

If you will be using a personal vehicle to drive yourself for Trailhead Institute business, you must provide a valid driver license and proof of insurance. While access to reliable transportation is a must, having a driver's license and/or personal vehicle is not a requirement for employment with Trailhead Institute.
